We’ll still happily answer your questions in-person or over-the-phone, but now you also have the option to learn more about your oral health from the comfort of your own couch.
As we work to add to our dental library, we wanted to take the opportunity to “pull back the curtain” on what we do and how we can help you smile.
What is A Prosthodontist?
Dr. Deaver is a prosthodontist, which is one of the many specializations available to dentists after they complete dental school. This path requires additional education (typically 2 -3 years of classroom and residency experience), but is well-worth it for those wanting to become experts in restorative dentistry. If you need dental implant surgery, full mouth reconstruction, or a complicated tooth extraction, this is the type of professional a general dentist is likely to refer you to.
Dr. Deaver doesn’t only do restorative work, though. He’s skilled in a variety of treatments and also offers routine checkup and cleaning services, teeth whitening, gum disease treatment, and other “less-specialized” services. Our team would be happy to be your one-stop-spot for dental care!
Your First Visit (and Beyond)
Whether you were referred to us by another medical professional or you found us on your own, we’ll welcome you warmly to our cozy Dallas office. Our front desk team will guide you through the check-in process and answer any questions you might have before seeing Dr. Deaver. Feel free to relax in our waiting room while we sanitize your treatment room and process your patient information.
When everything’s ready, we’ll walk you back to see Dr. Deaver. If he believes you would benefit from further care, Dr. Deaver will take your whole-body health into consideration and base his recommendations on a conservative treatment approach. This means he’ll prioritize recommendations that are minimal and preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible. You won’t have to worry about being “upsold” at our office!
